Bluey will return to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in a new balloon inspired by the animated series’ episode, “Christmas Swim.”
The balloon depicts Bluey wearing a Christmas crown, as seen in the episode, where the Heeler family celebrates an Australian Christmas with a poolside barbecue.
Macy’s Parade Studio artists and the show’s creator, Ludo Studio, designed the balloon, which measures 47 feet long, 27.8 feet wide and 47.2 feet tall, according to an announcement from BBC Studios and Macy’s.
Bluey first appeared in the parade in 2022. The character’s red “Keepy Uppy” balloon returned from 2023 through 2025. The 2024 parade also featured Rita and Gladys, the Grannies, riding in their car.
Melanie Zanetti and Dave McCormack, who voice Bluey’s parents, Chilli and Bandit, are expected to attend the parade in New York.
The new balloon will debut during the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, Nov. 26. The parade will air on NBC, Peacock and Telemundo, starting at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones.
