Ho! Ho! Ho!

A jolly welcome to you, my fellow holiday season enthusiast. Welcome to It’s Christmas 365, where we celebrate the holiday season every day of the year.

The idea for this site is a simple take on Buddy the Elf. For Buddy, the best way to spread holiday is cheer by singing loud for all to hear. And for this site, the best way to spread holiday cheer is by sharing for all to hear!

And, while this site is based in Pittsburgh (and therefore will have a lot of Western Pennsylvania events and such), the love of the holiday season knows no boundaries (yes, even in Cleveland).

All the holidays

While the site is called “It’s Christmas 365,” we very much believe in being inclusive, so you’ll find information about other holidays that occur around the same time (Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Yule, Winter Solstice, Rohatsu, Orthodox Christmas, Mawlid el-Nabi, New Years, Boxing Day (?) and more.

But you’ll almost never read about Halloween here. That day just gets in the way of Hallmark’s “Countdown to Christmas” event!

Be an Elf!

Want to write a post or few? Guest submissions, which can be about your holiday celebrations (past, present, future, fantasy) or anything related to the holidays, are welcome. I can’t guarantee all submissions will be published, and there is zero monetary compensation (read: no pay!) for having work published.

But the satisfaction of sharing your love of the holidays with others is enough pay, right?
