The first Christmas flip of 2026 is here! (updated: Sept. 29, 2026)
The country’s first all-Christmas radio station made the flip in September!
103.1 KLO-FM, out of Coalville/Salt Lake City in Utah, has temporarily rebranded itself as “Christmas 103 on Coast 103.1,” Radio Insight reports. It’s the first time since 2020 that a station flipped in September.
KLO-FM plays three hours of commercial-free music from 9 a.m. to noon.
Los Angeles, California (updated: Aug. 30, 2026)
105.1 KKGO, in Los Angeles, California, flipped one of its digital subchannels to an all-Christmas format, RadioInsight.com reports.
The radio station’s HD3 subchannel, which flipped Aug. 21, is dubbed “America’s Christmas Station.” It’s expected to run Christmas music through the rest of the year.
Radio Insight notes that this format flip isn’t considered the first Christmas flip, as that is reserved for a radio station’s primary signal.
More to come!
