Look who’s back! Hello Kitty will return to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2026 with a new giant balloon, Sanrio and Macy’s announced.
The balloon will show the character holding a red apple, a nod to New York City’s “Big Apple” nickname.
The 100th parade is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, with NBC and Peacock coverage beginning at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones.
The announcement also includes a 23-piece Hello Kitty and Friends collection made for Macy’s.
Items include apparel, Loungefly backpacks and bag charms, a Kidrobot plush charm and pin set, and seasonal decor from Blue Sky Clayworks. The collection is available online, with merchandise set to arrive at Macy’s Herald Square in New York on Oct. 15.
