A popular London street is bringing ’90s nostalgia to its Christmas lights this year.
Carnaby Street, part of London’s West End, near Soho’s theaters and dining spots, will “Press Play on Christmas” — a colorful display inspired by the decade. The lights are scheduled to switch on in early November.
Organizers say the theme looks back to a time when shopping was a day out and photographs were something people held.
They describe it as a way to bring people together in the neighborhood during the holidays. Specific design details for the display have not been announced.
