Ikea’s 2026 holiday collections will begin arriving in stores and online in September.
This year’s collections — Vinterfint, Stråla and Vintersaga — are built around two design directions: a traditional Scandinavian look inspired by folklore and familiar holiday details, and a more colorful, playful style IKEA calls “happy carnival.”
Vinterfint will include decorations, textiles, tableware and gift-wrapping supplies. Among the new offerings are colorful bowls, jars, candlesticks and ornaments by designer Marta Krupińska, whose work uses geometric shapes and bright colors.
“I wanted to evoke laughter and make Christmas more relaxed. The shapes are geometric and simple yet playful, with eye-popping colours. I hope they will add joy and a stress-free perspective on Christmas,” Krupińska said in a news release.
Paper decorations are also a major focus. Ikea is expanding its selection of foldable Christmas trees, garlands and ornaments designed to be reused and stored flat after the season. Designer Clara von Zweigbergk contributed several pieces featuring bold stripes, vibrant colors and graphic patterns.
The Stråla collection returns with seasonal lighting, including Scandinavian star lamps, table lights and outdoor light chains. Vintersaga, meanwhile, will feature Swedish holiday treats such as gingerbread house supplies, chocolates, sweets and seasonal drinks.
Ikea said the collections are intended to give customers options for building holiday traditions that match their own homes, tastes and celebrations. Availability and launch dates will vary by market.
