With more than 3 million lights, the state’s tallest artificial tree and festive foods, Kennywood’s Holiday Lights was named among USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Also making the list from Pennsylvania was Kennywood’s sister park Dutch Wonderland, which hosts Dutch Winter Wonderland, and Hersheypark’s Christmas Candylane.

Herschend — the family-owned amusement park company that acquired Kennywood, Dutch Wonderland and other Palace Parks — also saw Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood and An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City make the list.

Herschend acquired Palace Parks and Silver Dollar City in 2025. The company operates Dollywood and owns 50 percent of the park with Dolly Parton Productions.
