Mannheim Steamroller will bring its 2025 Christmas tour to Erie and Pittsburgh as the band celebrates the show’s 40th anniversary.
Founder Chip Davis said season will kick off Nov. 11 and run through Dec. 30, with two touring ensembles (“red” and “green”) scheduled to perform in cities across the country.
- Erie: Dec. 2
- Pittsburgh: Dec. 11
The tour continues a tradition that began in 1984 with the release of Mannheim Steamroller’s first Christmas album. That debut helped redefine holiday music — and launched a seasonal touring phenomenon that has since become a mainstay in theaters nationwide.

“I remember when I came out with my very first Christmas album in 1984 followed by our first tour. Back then, many said focusing on Christmas just wouldn’t work,” Davis said in a statement. “Now, over more than 35 years later, we are still going strong — and are the longest running concert tour in the entertainment industry! I want to thank all our fans for making us part of their holiday tradition.”
Davis, a Grammy Award-winning composer and producer, also founded American Gramaphone, which became one of the largest independent record labels in the industry. Under his leadership, Mannheim Steamroller has sold more than 41 million albums, including 31.5 million in the Christmas genre. The group’s recordings are a fixture on Billboard’s seasonal chart and continue to rank among the best-selling holiday titles each year.
In fact, the group considers itself the No. 1 Christmas music group of all time, selling more than 31 million holiday albums.
The 2025 production, titled “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis,” will feature the group’s classic holiday hits performed in its distinctive blend of orchestral and electronic styles. The show is co-produced by MagicSpace Entertainment, a Utah-based company that has presented national tours, Broadway productions, concerts and events worldwide for more than four decades.
