I had the incredible honor of being invited onto John Chamberlin and Rachael Rennebeck’s Friday night show on KDKA Radio, which, of course, is the world’s first commercial radio station.

As someone who loves celebrating all things holidays, this opportunity felt extra special.

To top it off, I got to share the mic with Gretchen McKay, the brilliant food editor at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The show was a festive deep dive into everything we love about the holiday season. You can listen here!

We talked about traditions must-see events, seasonal foods and entertainment (sorry, Gretchen, “Die Hard” is not a Christmas move, haha).

From favorite ornaments to regifting, it was a wide-ranging conversation that truly captured the magic of this time of year.

What made it even more memorable was the company.

Rachael and John are absolute pros, and their passion for Pittsburgh shines through in everything they do. They made the experience so comfortable and fun, setting the perfect tone for holiday storytelling.

And Gretchen? She brought such fantastic insights about holiday food and traditions — her perspective added so much richness to the conversation. (Watch out, Rachael and John… “Gretchen & Bobby on KDKA” has a nice ring to it.)

KDKA Radio, with its deep history as a broadcasting pioneer, was the perfect backdrop for this discussion. There’s something thrilling about being part of a legacy station like KDKA, where Pittsburghers have tuned in for generations to get their news, hear great stories and connect with the community.

I’m beyond grateful to Rachael and John for making this such a special experience. It’s always a joy to share my love of the holiday season, but doing it alongside such talented and passionate people made it truly memorable.

Here’s to embracing everything the holidays have to offer — from delicious treats to meaningful traditions. And thank you to KDKA Radio for giving me the chance to spread some holiday cheer on the airwaves! 🎄
