Pittsburgh Light Up Night 2024 is set for Saturday, Nov. 23. Some events begin Friday, Nov. 22!
Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, the nonprofit group that organizes Light Up Night, has a lot planned this year! Highmark is again the title sponsor for Light Up Night.

- 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. — Peoples Gas Holiday Market grand opening
- 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. — Live music on the Sounds of the Season Stage

NEW FOR 2024: Tech25 Light Up Night Special Programming
📍 Smithfield United Church and Strawberry Way
5:30 – 9 p.m.
New this year, Tech25 is programming Smithfield United Church and Strawberry Way on Light Up Night. In partnership with the Buhl Foundation, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, Smithfield United Church, and other community organizations, the event aims to celebrate Smithfield United Church’s historical role as a community hub and to enhance downtown Pittsburgh’s safety and engagement. The evening will feature projection mapping art, an organ recital, youth sports tournaments, a workforce resource fair and outreach programs focused on anti-violence.
Pirates Mini-Fest
📍 Stanwix St. and Ft. Duquesne
Starts at 4 p.m. — Batter up! The Pirates’ Mini-Fest is the place for all things Buccos. Stop by for a photo op with the Parrot and the Pierogies! While you’re there, enjoy holiday-themed face painting, balloon artists stations, inflatables, and the one-of-a-kind Fanatics Mobile Plus, swing by the black and gold sale for some early holiday shopping for the Buccos fan in your life.
Coca-Cola Santa

Have you been good all year? Here’s your chance to tell Santa what you want and get your photo taken with the holly jolly one himself! Grab a free Coke Zero and snap a photo with Santa. And, while supplies last, anyone who visits Santa will get a limited edition Coca-Cola polar bear! Arrive early to get yours!

Visit Pittsburgh’s very own Fifth Avenue FREEZE! Discover a shimmering holiday display of ice carvings by award-winning master ice carver Rich Bubin of Ice Creations. Get up close and snap photos with a snowman, Christmas tree, Snoopy, a snowflake and even Rudolph! Head inside Fifth Avenue Place from 6-9 p.m. to discover additional activities including an airbrush artist, face painter, balloon artist and caricaturist.
