Conner Nature Center at Asbury Woods will be lit up each night in December (except Dec. 24 and 25) from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. for the community to enjoy a peaceful evening stroll on the boardwalk through the woods. | Dec. 14-15 | Monticello Lights | Delmont, Pennsylvania; 6-9 p.m.; Treat your family to a drive-through holiday spectacular as neighbors compete to put on the most outstanding display. This year, proceeds will benefit WTAE’s Project Bundle-Up and Delmont Meals on Wheels. All donations will be split evenly between charities. Donation jars will be available throughout the neighborhood. They accept cash, check or Venmo donations. | Christmas in Killarney Craft Show: Youngstown, Ohio; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov 10; The second annual Christmas in Killarney Craft Show will be held at Penguin City Beer in Youngstown. Capture the magic of the season with free photos alongside Santa Claus. Bring an unwrapped toy or a grocery bag of unexpired, nonperishable food items for donation to receive a free sheet of basket raffle tickets. Rumor has it that the Grinch might make a surprise visit. |
| Tree lighting and Cheermeister crowning at Millcreek Mall: Erie, Pennsylvania; 6-8 p.m., Nov. 15. Millcreek Mall ushers in the holiday season with a tree lighting and other special events. There will be cookies, cocoa and Christmas songs to get you in the spirit. One lucky child (ages 4-10) will be drawn at random to serve as this year’s Cheermeister. As the Cheermeister, they have the honor of lighting the tree and escorting Santa to his seat when he arrives the next day. Plus, they will hand deliver their wish list to Santa as well as be the first to have their picture taken with him. |

| Nationality Rooms at the University of Pittsburgh: Open house planned for noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 17. In the spirit of an open house tradition and to foster connections among neighbors, members of the Nationality and Heritage Room Committees will welcome guests into the Cathedral of Learning for an afternoon of exploration and engagement. Guests will be invited into the Nationality and Heritage Rooms which will be decorated for the holiday season and can participate in traditional crafts and cultural demonstrations to learn about the rooms, the committees, and their ethnic communities and traditions. In the Cathedral of Learning Commons, guests will enjoy traditional treats as they listen to world and holiday music and shop for handcrafted and cultural wares and other items that represent the cultural diversity of the Nationality and Heritage Rooms. | Harrisburg tree lighting: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 6-8 p.m., Nov. 22; The city of Harrisburg will host its inaugural tree lighting ceremony in front of the MLK Jr. City Government Center. There will be free cocoa and cookies, an artist market to shop, kids craft, caroling groups and a visit from Santa Claus. The tree will be illuminated at 7. To add to the fun, attendees are encouraged to wear their best ugly holiday sweaters. One child and one adult deemed best dressed to the theme will receive a prize. |

They will have the barns open so you can visit the goats and chickens. Get your picture taken with a goat by a professional photographer with a Christmas backdrop. They will have shopping available with several other vendors such as beautiful holiday wreaths and handmade quilted items. | Christmas On The Farm at Freedom Farms: Middlesex Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 30, Dec. 1; Check out over 50 local craft vendors. Local Christmas trees and wreaths will be available for purchase as well as lunch and/or dinner and snacks. There will be face painting for the kids and access to the animal barn and corn pit. Santa will be at the event both days with times to be announced. Admission is $10 per person, kids 3 and under are free. Admission includes the corn pit, tractor ride, hay mountain, animal barn, swings and tire graveyard. |
| TubaChristmas & Holiday Craft Show: Youngstown, Ohio; Dec. 1; Stambaugh Auditorium’s Holiday Craft Show will return as part of the 51st Tuba Christmas Concert. The concert features local tuba players joining together to perform a variety of Christmas classics. The Craft Show will feature local artisans and crafters before and after the concert. There will also be the opportunity to purchase TubaChristmas merchandise and concessions will be available. A goodwill offering is encouraged and will be accepted at the door to help offset the expenses of the event. |
| Oakmont Christmas Home Tour: Oakmont, Pennsylvania; noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 1; This self-guided tour features homes throughout Oakmont that are decorated for the holiday season. |
| Miracle On Main: Zelienople, Pennsylvania: 4-8 p.m. Dec. 5; Free charity event in downtown Zelienople featuring children’s activities, carriage rides and Santa Claus. There will also be a live nativity, strolling carolers and a holiday parade. All proceeds from the event are distributed to various charities. A coat tent is on site to provide children’s coats to anyone in need. Each year, it is estimated that nearly 200 coats are distributed at the event. New and “like new” coats are being collected. Nonperishable food Items will also be collected for the Butler County Weekend Backpack program. The food pantry will also be accepting donations. |
