It’s time!

Pittsburgh Light Up Night 2023 is set for Saturday, Nov. 18. Some events begin Friday, Nov. 17!

Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, the nonprofit group that organizes Light Up Night, has a lot planned this year! Highmark is again the title sponsor for Light Up Night.

Friday, Nov. 17, events

  • Heinz Hall Courtyard: 12-3 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. — Santa’s House is open
  • PPG Plaza:
    • 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. — Spirits of Giving from Around the World, PPG Place lobbies
    • The Rink at PPG Plaza: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. — Public ice skating
    • Allegheny County Courthouse: Noon — Courthouse tree lighting ceremony in the courtyard
  • U.S. Steel Tower Plaza: Noon — Opening of the Pittsburgh Crèche
  • Market Square
    • 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. — Holiday Market grand opening featuring limited edition Peoples Gas ornament with a donation.
    • On the Sounds of the Season Stage:
      • 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. — Live music
      • 5 p.m. — Pittsburgh Today Live singers

6 p.m. — UPMC Ultimate Holiday Tree Lighting & American Cancer Society Tribute of Light Ceremony at PPG Plaza

7 p.m. — Highmark (Horne’s) Tree lighting with Zambelli rooftop fireworks at Stanwix Street and Penn Avenue

9:30 p.m. — Xfinity Fireworks Spectacular with “supersized” Zambelli finale, Allegheny Overlook on Fort Duquesne Boulevard

While you’re there, enjoy holiday-themed face painting, balloon artists stations, inflatables, and the one-of-a-kind Fanatics Mobile Plus, swing by the black and gold sale for some early holiday shopping for the Buccos fan in your life.
